New BJP TN Chief Annamalai bats for continuance of alliance with AIADMK

Chennai, July 11 (UNI) Former IPS officer and newly appointed
President of the Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP K Annamalai today
favoured continuance of alliance with the AIADMK.
His remarks comes a couple of days after former Chief Minister
and AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam said the alliance with
the BJP would continue.
Mr Panneerselvam's assertion comes in the back drop of verbal
spar by a leader of the AIADMK and the BJP blaming each other
for the AIADMK's defeat in the recent Assembly polls.
Toeing a similar line taken by Mr Panneerselvam's remarks,
Mr Annamalai tweeted : “Let Tamil Nadu prosper, Let friendship
between AIADMK and BJP grow” .
He was responding to the greetings extended by Mr Panneerselvam
and AIADMK co-coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami on his elevation
of the BJP State unit Chief.
