The car of Punjab hockey chief coach Rajinder Singh Junior was stolen from Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on Saturday where he was giving training to budding hockey players. The incident was reported on Saturday morning. Iqbal Singh Sandhu, hockey coach at Surjit Hockey stadium said, the incident took place between 6.30 am and 9.30 am when the coach had gone inside the stadium to train the students.

The coach said despite the presence of heavy police around the stadium, the car bearing number PB08 CR3838 got stolen. The police are investigating the matter and verifying all the CCTV cameras. — TNS
