Proteas win toss, opt to field in 1st ODI against Ireland

Captain Temba Bavuma has won the toss and decided that the Proteas will bowl in the first ODI against Ireland in Dublin. 

Despite overcast conditions, the Proteas have opted for two spinners with Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi both in the starting XI. 

Aiden Markram will open the batting with Janneman Malan with Bavuma at No 3.

Regulars Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller play while Kyle Verreynne gets a chance in the middle order and will take the gloves as Quinton de Kock gets a rest along with Anrich Nortje. 

The all-rounder spot is taken by Andile Phehlukwayo while Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi round out the bowling options.
