Bengaluru, July 11(UNI) Karantaka Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar on Sunday said that the state received Rs 1,500 crore assistance from the central government to face the challenge and manage a possible third wave in the country.
Speaking after a vaccination driver in the city, he said under the Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa ‘s guidance the state health department has taking all necessary steps and control the possible third wave of Covid-19.
He said it was proud to see that a team of young doctors have rendered excellent service in Kalaburagi and opened a hospital in Bangalore. There was a shortage of healthcare facilities in the state when the corona epidemic increased
There was a shortage of health facilities in the state and at the crisis period the cooperation given by the private hospitals at that time was very commendable. United Hospital at Kalaburagi District Center has treated thousands of corona sufferers
The state government is making effort to make the state a healthier state in the country. He said the cooperation of private hospitals is essential to achieve success in this regard., he said
Health minister said that the central government has allocated Rs 23,000 crore to manage the next possible third wave at the recent ministerial meeting. The state will get Rs 1500 crore funds for the same and will be utilized to increase the capacity of the children's division in the State.
He expressed his happiness to see the medical board has promising better service through health cards and pricing."
