MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has warned of a scarcity of water on Tuesday for streamlining water supply in some areas of Mumbai. The civic body stated that the water supply will be cut off or will be at low pressure from 10 am to 10 pm in some areas of Juhu, Vile Parle, Santacruz, Khar and Andheri. "This one-day change is being made to streamline the water supply in the areas. We humbly request citizens to cooperate," BMC tweeted.

The civic body mentioned that the valve will be replaced to make the water supply smoother. However, to replace the valve, the water supply needed to be cut off or put on low pressure in some areas. The civic body also stated that they have detected some technical difficulties and hence necessary measures are needed to fix the issue. BMC urged citizens residing in these areas to store water and use it sparingly.
