BPD identifies man killed in Sunday morning shooting

The Beaumont Police Department has identified a man killed early Sunday morning.

Tyler Womack, 29 of Beaumont, was found just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday with multiple gunshot wounds on the porch of a home in the 4300 block of Woodlawn, according to Beaumont police.

“Officers located a blood trail that tracked back to a nearby residence where they found evidence that the shooting had occurred there,” BPD stated in a release.

The homicide remains under investigation, BPD said.
