CHANDIGARH: Punjab lost six people to Covid-19 on Satudary and reported 124 fresh cases. One patient each died in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Mohali, Pathankot, Patiala, and Tarn Taran.
In Amritsar, 15 people tested positive, while 13 cases each surfaced in Bathinda, Jalandhar and Ludhiana, nine in Patiala, eight each in Hoshiarpur, Pathankot and Sangrur, six in Kapurthala, five in Mohali, four in Ferozepur, three each in Fazilka, Mansa, and Muktsar, two each in Barnala, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, Moga, Tarn Taran, and Fatehgarh Sahib, and one in Ropar.
The state vaccinated 52,438 people, 40,794 with the first dose and 11,644 with the second. Its total suspected cases are 1,13,32,750, while the total positive tests are 5,97,469, which include 5,79,618 recoveries, 16,177 deaths, and 1,674 active cases. Of the healthcare workers, 2,12,943 have received the first dose and 1,28,081 have got their second.
Of the frontline workers, 11,37,278 got the first dose and 2,71,850 took the second. The above-45 age group has received 35,46,808 first doses and 8,93,035 second doses. The 18-44 age group has taken 21,26,772 first doses and 45,361 second shots. The total administered doses are 83,31,867.
