Monsoon has become active once again in Madhya Pradesh. It had rained in the state about 10 days back as well. Light rain-lashed Madhya Pradesh today, bringing down the temperature to some extent and bringing relief to the people. Due to the lack of rain in Madhya Pradesh, people were troubled by the heat and humidity. After light rain, people got relief from the heat and humidity. Good rains are expected in the state for the next few days.
Talking to PTI, senior meteorologist PK Saha of the Indian Meteorological Department Bhopal office said that the state is expected to receive good rains between July 11 and 16. Apart from this, a low-pressure area is very likely to form over the North-West Bay of Bengal on Sunday which will bring more moisture to Madhya Pradesh.
According to the official, Guna's Kumbhraj town received the highest rainfall of 72 mm, while Singrauli's Sarai area recorded the highest 66.4 mm of rain in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Saturday. Bhopal's Kolar region received 4.8 mm of rain, while Indore's Jabalpur recorded 10.5 mm and Mhow 6 mm. He said that the temperature level has come down to some extent due to the rains.
The Indian Meteorological Department has released the weather forecast for the coming days. According to the department, there is a possibility of rain in South and East-Central India from July 9, and from July 10 in North West and Central India. It will rain heavily in the 7 days after the onset of rain. The incidents of landslides are common in the hilly areas, given which the Meteorological Department has already given a warning of rain on the mountains. Four districts of Uttarakhand Dehradun, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, and Nainital have warned of heavy rain.
