Freo putting the foot down
Fremantle are now starting to get reward for their utter domination around the ground, and back-to-back goals from Acres and Treacy have catapulted them to a commanding 41-point lead with 1:35 left in the third quarter, 11.12.78 to 5.7.37.
The visitors have kicked the last three majors and now have three multiple goalkickers: Lobb 4, Banfield 2, Treacy 2
Yips haunt Dockers again
This game should be done and dusted, but Fremantle’s goalkicking woes have come back to bite them in a big way, kicking 1.5 from 13 inside 50s this quarter.
As a result, the door is still slightly ajar for the Hawks, despite Freo leading by 31 points, 9.12.66 to 5.5.35.
Lobb could easily have already had a career-high bag of goals already, but instead he has 4.3 to his name and remains stuck on his equal-best haul.
Hawks can’t make inroads
Just a goal each to Hawthorn and Fremantle nearing the halfway mark of the third quarter, from Worpel and Lobb respectively, and the Dockers continue to dictate proceedings with a 28-point lead, 9.9.63 to 5.5.35.
Lobb now has a game-high, and equal career-high, four goals to his name while Mitchell is the only Hawk in the top seven ball winners on the ground.

Freo in reach of creating history
Could be a historic day for the Dockers!
Scrimshaw subbed out
Scrimshaw has been subbed out and has been replaced in the Hawks’ line-up by Hanrahan. It looks like Scrimshaw might have suffered a concussion after an unfortunate ‘friendly fire’ incident with teammate McEvoy.

Freo make Hawks pay for mistakes
The Hawks started the second quarter brightly courtesy of a Koschitzke goal, but the hosts have been undone by some bad skill errors since and back-to-back goals from Treacy and Switkowski have extended Fremantle’s lead to a game-high 28 points. It’s already looking ugly for the Hawks, and if they don’t sharpen up soon, this one could get away from them very quickly.
