ZMA = lower heart rate and lower tdee?

I'm currently cutting (5'10, 160lbs, about 25% bf). I've started taking ZMA for the restful sleep and test benefits, but its effects last through the next day for me. After a night of taking it, I'm more relaxed during the day and my heart rate is considerably lower - this has lowered my tdee, and made my caloric deficit smaller or harder to maintain.

    Am I missing something?
