A five-week-old baby boy has been mauled to death by the family dog on the New South Wales Central Coast.
The family dog attacked the baby at a home on Jeffs Close at Kariong at 2.20am on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to the property before police performed CPR on the baby.

The family dog attacked the baby at a home on Jeffs Close at Kariong at 2.20am on Sunday
Paramedics also attempted to revive the five-week-old before he died at the scene.
The boy's parents were at home when their son was attacked by the dog.
Police established a crime scene and are not treating the incident as suspicious.
The dog has since been secured and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
