We attended Tata Steel Ltd.'s Investors Day Conference, where the management shared its vision for 2030. Key highlights:

  1. India capacity target of 40 million tonnes per annum by CY30 via organic and inorganic routes,

  2. priority to maintain net debt/Ebitda less than two times across cycles over the long term,

  3. FY22 debt reduction target of more than $2 billion,

  4. capex allocation of Rs 100-120 billion/year for next five years in India,

  5. target carbon-adjusted return on invested capital of 15% for consolidated business.
