Alongside the continuously rising fuel prices, compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) prices have also been revised from today. The price hike was announced by Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), which retails CNG to automotive and PNG to households.
As per the new revised price list, CNG retail price in Delhi has been hiked by 90 paisa from Rs 43.40/kg to Rs 44.30/kg from July 8. PNG domestic price will be Rs 29.66 per SCM.
CNG retail price for neighbouring cities In Noida, Greater Noida & Ghaziabad, has been raised from Rs 49.08/kg to Rs 49.98/kg while PNG will be available at Rs 29.61 per SCM.
In a tweet, IGL said, “CNG would offer 68% savings as compared to petrol & 50% savings as compared to diesel on running cost at revised prices in Delhi.”

In other news, a sixth hike in July made petrol costlier by 35 paise and diesel by 9 paise in Delhi. The price of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) with subsidy was hiked by Rs 25.50 per cylinder from July 1 onwards.
