Information Services Group, leading global consultants and advisor to the IT services industry, hosted their quarterly industry outlook call today. Overall, the commentary points to strength in the IT services spend, led by cloud migration. Here are the key takeaways from the calls:

  • Overall annual contract value increased 12% QoQ/32% YoY in Q2 CY21, with the As-a-Service up 13% QoQ/38% YoY and managed services up 8% QoQ/23% YoY.

  • ISG guided for a 9% YoY increase in managed services (traditional IT services) for CY21, up 400 basis points from Q1 guidance due to continued strength in medium and large deal pipeline.

  • IT providers are seeing huge competition for talent in CY21; the ability to staff projects with resources would likely pose a key challenge.
