Mumbai reports 540 new Covid-19 cases, 13 deaths

MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that Mumbai city reported 540 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday. The total in the maximum city caseload has reached 7,26,824.
There are presently 7,714 active cases in Mumbai.
During the day, 13 people including 12 with co-morbidities succumbed to the virus. The overall death toll reached 15,586.
On a happier note, 628 patients were discharged from the hospitals after making recovery. The total number of positive patients recovered from the virus and discharged from hospitals is 7,01,195 so far.
The recovery of the Mumbai district is 96 per cent and the doubling rate is 858 days.
The civic body has also declared 11 areas as 'Active Containment Zones' and sealed off 67 buildings.
