Ajay Maken meets Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot again before leaving for New Delhi

JAIPUR: AICC general secretary state in-charge Ajay Maken again met chief minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence and held discussion with the chief minister before leaving for Delhi in the afternoon. Maken had held discussions with Gehlot on Tuesday night as well, on his arrival here.
Sources indicated that the discussion was mainly centred around appointment of district and block presidents of the party. These party appointments will be made by the end of this month. The party district and block presidents were removed after the rebellion by the then state president Sachin Pilot in July last year. Sachin was replaced by Govind Singh Dotasra but no fresh appointments were made at the district and block level.
The indication is that the party appointments will precede the changes in the council of ministers. A reshuffle in the council of ministers is also due as there were nine vacancies in the ministry after the ministers loyal to Pilot were also removed last year.
