'Happy birthday Dadi': Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh lead wishes for former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly celebrated his 49th birthday on Thursday, July 8. Ganguly, considered as the catalyst in India's revival as a cricketing team in the early 2000s was one of the long-term serving captains for the Indian team. Ganguly represented his country in 113 Tests and 311 ODIs scoring 7212 and 11,363 runs respectively.

The wishes started pouring in for the 49-year old from midnight at 12 AM as the love poured in for 'Dada' or 'Dadi' as the legendary Sachin Tendulkar likes to call him.

Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote, "My beloved Dadi. Happy birthday. Wishing you a healthy and happy year ahead." Yuvraj Singh too called him Dadi and wrote, "Happy birthday dadi ! Wishing you great health and happiness god bless you."

Former Indian off-spinner, who also played an early part of his career under Ganguly wished his captain and wrote, "Love always."

Suresh Raina, Mohammad Azharuddin, Venkatesh Prasad, Kuldeep Yadav, Dinesh Karthik, Irfan Pathan were among others to wish Ganguly on his special day.
