Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister YS Sharmila floats political party in Telangana

Andhra Pradesh CM's sister YS Sharmila launched her political outfit YSR Telangana Party in Hyderabad on Thursday.
HYDERABAD: Marking her foray into active politics, YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, launched her political outfit - YSR Telangana Party - in Hyderabad on Thursday.
During the launch, Sharmila declared that welfare, self-reliance and equality will be the new party’s three pillars of agenda.
Addressing a gathering of party activists after unveiling her party flag, Sharmila she said that her party will work to reserve 50% seats in assembly for women.
She also said that people belonging to the Backward Classes will be given reservation on the basis of population.
Calling her father YS Rajasekhara Reddy a symbol of the welfare schemes in the country, Sharmila alleged that chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao does not know what welfare is.
“His definition of standing on one's own feet is making people stand in queues for Covid-19 treatment, for ration cards and everything else,” she said.
Saying that no one in the state is happy in the state except KCR’s family he said “every family in Telangana is having a loan burden, and the state is in debt trap of Rs 4 lakh crore. "
