Technology and marketing consultancy Rightscale Group has appointed Mirko Roettgers to the newly created role of Triggerfish general manager, along with Marc Rousseau as operations director and John King as director of digital strategy.

"The extensive experience that comes with these new appointments will be foundational to delivering transformation and value for our clients both here and abroad," said Triggerfish co-founder and director Anthony Hook.

"It's humbling to have the opportunity to bring such amazing talent into our team and it's all part of Rightscale Group's commitment to building strong, outcome-driven, product-focused teams with worldwide reach, right here from our base in Brisbane."

Mirko Roettgers joins the company from Bussq Super, where he most recently served as executive manager of marketing, brand strategy and technology.

His previous roles include senior online marketing advisor at TransLink, digital strategist at Goodlife Health Clubs, co-founder and director of digital and e-commerce at I love Travel, digital coach at Tourism and Events Queensland, and marketing coordinator at Deutsche Telekom.

He holds a masters in business economics from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany)

"Companies need a revolution, not an evolution, and I'm looking forward to helping the Triggerfish team be a bridge to success for their clients and companies around the globe that share this mindset," said Roettgers.

Marc Rousseau joins Triggerfish from Entwined, where he was head of PMO.

He was previously a partner at MiGYM Australia, a director at Deloitte Digital, group director at IE Digital, and head of digital at Authentic Entertainment Australia.

Rousseau is also on the board of HerSpace.

John King joins the company from Speedwell, where he worked as a digital marketing technologist.

His previous roles include digital marketing manager at Di Bella Coffee, digital project manager at Brisbane Marketing, digital marketing coordinator at South Bank Corporation, and digital marketing coordinator at Eagle Boys Pizza.

King holds a bachelor of business from Australian Catholic University, and is a volunteer mentor with the Queensland Government Mentoring for Growth program.
