AMC, GameStop stocks slump toward 5-day loss streaks

Shares of AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. AMC, -9.79% dropped 9.3% in premarket trading Thursday, after tumbling 20.5% amid a four-day losing streak. Fellow meme stock GameStop Corp. GME, -4.46% was also extending recent losses, as it shed 5.3% ahead of the open, after losing 11.0% over the past four days. A five-day losing streak would be the longest such stretch for AMC's stock since the 8-day losing streak ended May 6, and the longest losing stretch for GameStop's stock since the five-day losing streak that ended May 5. The stocks' selloffs are part of a broader-market selloff, as Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.30% futures YM00, -1.36% slid 474 points, or 1.4%, and futures ES00, -1.34% for the S&P 500 SPX, +0.34% sank 1.3%. Among other meme stocks, the U.S.-listed shares of BlackBerry Ltd. BB, -5.22% BB, -4.71% fell 3.3% in Thursday's premarket, Express Inc. EXPR, -9.47% dropped 6.5% and Nokia Corp. NOK, -0.55% slipped 0.7%.
