Nora Fatehi, who found fame with the remix of Sushmita Sen’s iconic number ‘Dilbar’ has now entered mainstream cinema as an actress.
She has starred in the John Abraham-starrer ‘Batla House’, with a small yet pivotal role, which also featured the remix of - 'O Saki Saki'. She was also seen in Remo D’Souza’s dance film ‘ABCD 3’ and the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Bharat’.
Nora, who is climbing up the ladder of success in Bollywood, was also approached was a role in Tiger Shroff’s upcoming action film ‘Ganapath’.
However, the dancing diva rejected it after learning its length.
As per ETimes, the role in 'Ganapath' didn't fit the bill in terms of what Nora envisions herself doing onscreen.
The news comes after there were rumours that Nora had exited the film.
Meanwhile, Tiger will be reuniting with 'Heropanti' actress Kriti Sanon for the film.
The action film set in a post-pandemic, dystopian era. It is helmed by director Vikas Bahl, who directed "Queen" and "Super 30" in the past.
‘Ganapath’ is planned as the first film of a franchise.
"This film is different for me from the rest of the films I've done till date because of the character I play," said the ‘Baaghi’ actor.
Kriti said: "I'm thrilled to reunite with Tiger after about seven years and also to be directed by Vikas in a space that is so new to me. I've been wanting to explore the genre of action since a while now and I'm super excited to do so on such a massive scale.”
Added Bahl: "It's a challenge to pull off the scale for a script that is set-up in a futuristic world," he said.
Pre-production work has already begun. ‘Ganapath’ is scheduled to release in 2022.
On the other hand, Nora plays a spy in the upcoming film, 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India', co-starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, and Pranitha Subhash.
The period drama looks back at the story of 300 women of Madhapar village in Gujarat's Kutch district, who played a pivotal role during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
