Heidi Klum is ecstatic that her daughter is following in her footsteps.
“She’s doing the things I was always dreaming to do!,” Klum said of 17-year-old Leni.
The 48-year-old told People that she is confident in Leni’s ability to pave her own path in the modeling industry, despite having such big shoes to fill.
“I said to her, ‘At the end of the day, you have to be happy with yourself,'” said Klum, “And don’t do anything you don’t want to do. It’s okay to say no.”
Leni, whom Heidi shares with Italian restauranteur Flavio Briatore, has already landed two magazine covers – one with her mother for Vogue Germany, and a solo shoot with Glamour Germany and walked the runway at Berlin Fashion Week earlier this year.
“It’s a fun thing for her to do,” said Klum of Leni, “She’s not afraid of cameras because she’s always come to my sets and my shows.”
The teenager’s career may have been predicted before she was even born as Klum recently revealed she was pregnant with Leni when she walked the 2003 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
And the proud mom, who also shares children Henry, 15, Johan, 14 and Lou, 11, with ex-husband Seal, couldn’t resist teasing more on the horizon for Leni. “I’ve been helping her with deals and she has so many things in the pipeline,” she said.
