NAGAON, July 7: Sensation prevailed at greater Kathiatoli area on Wednesday following tragic death of three minors at Singarapatty under Kathiatoli police outpost as well as at Chengmora village under Rangolu police outpost.

Sources claimed that some locals from Singarapatty village on Wednesday morning found bodies of two minors named as Afuja Khatun (5)and Foridul Islam (3) floating on water at the paddy field after they went missing since Tuesday afternoon.

Subsequently, being informed Kathiatoli police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies of brother and sister to Nagaon Civil Hospital for post mortem, sources said adding that police recovered a fishing net nearby the bodies of the minors.

Meanwhile a child named Nur Ahmed of Chengmora village drowned in a pond this morning when he returned from agricultural field after delivering tea and snacks to his uncle who was ploughing in the field, sources added.

Rangolu police later on rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the child.
