New Delhi, Jul 8 (UNI) Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday approved the amendment in Coconut Development Board Act for making the post of Chairman as Non-Executive Chairman.
Briefing the media after Cabinet meeting, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare and this move will be beneficial to the Coconut Growers at large.
He also said that the the government is considering to increase the number of members from four to six.
