
The Nasdaq hit a new high at the open on Wednesday, as falling Treasury yields lifted tech-heavy growth stocks, while investors focused on the Federal Reserve's minutes from the June meeting to gauge the trajectory of policy support going forward.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 57.13 points, or 0.17 per cent, at the open to 34,634.50.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 9.37 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 4,352.91, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 65.99 points, or 0.45 per cent, to 14,729.63 at the opening bell.
