Filmmaker Karan Johar announced his next film with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt i.e Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The announcement was made on Ranveer’s birthday.
Veteran actor Dharmendra is all set to make his acting comeback, by joining the cast along with Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy.
Karan took to his Instagram handle and shared a teaser video for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and he wrote, “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favourite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. This anokhi kahani is coming to your screens in 2022! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”
While talking to a tabloid, the actor revealed that he will be essaying a role of a romantic guy in the film and that he is very happy. He also said he loves the camera and the camera loves him too. The actor will reportedly romance opposite Jaya Bachchan in the film.
Meanwhile, the 85-year-old actor also announced the news on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Friends, I am delighted to announce my new film, a love story deeply embedded in the roots of family, directed by Karan Johar. I’m extremely excited for this as you will see me again in a romantic role! Can’t wait for you all to see me at the movies!”
The film is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy and will be produced by Dharma Productions. The film will mark Karan Johar’s return as director after five years.
