Nasdaq hits all-time high as stocks open mostly higher

Stocks opened mostly higher, with the growth-oriented Nasdaq Composite edging to a record intraday high as long-dated Treasury yields continued to sink. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.28% was up 27 points, or 0.1%, at 34,599, while the S&P 500 SPX, +0.29% gained 0.2% to trade at 4,352.72. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.10% was up 0.4% to trade at 14,722.27. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell 4.1 basis points to 1.3322%, after dipping below 1.3%. Yields and bond prices move in opposite directions.
