Wimbledon Tennis 2021 Highlights: Coco Gauff and Caty McNally lost their women’s doubles Round of 16 match against the Russian pair of Veronika Kudermetova and Elena Vesnina 6-7(0), 6-4, 3-6. Sania Mirza and Rohan Boppana lose the first set 3-6 in their mixed doubles Round of 16 match against 14th seeds Andreja Klepac and Jean-Julien Rojer. The match has been however suspended again due to rain.

Ashleigh Barty cruises into the semi-finals with a 6-1, 6-3 win over fellow Australian Ajla Tomljanovic. Angelique Kerber reaches another semi-final in London with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Karolina Muchova. Aryna Sabalenka makes her first semi-final with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Ons Jabeur. Karolina Pliskova produced another dominating performance as she beat Viktorija Golubic 6-2, 6-2.

Second seed Daniil Medvedev was knocked out by Polish Hubert Hurkacz in the fourth round as they returned on Tuesday after rain suspended their match on Monday night. Hurkacz beat Medvedev 2-6, 7-6(2), 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to his first Grand Slam quarter-final.

The mixed doubles pair of Sania and Bopanna are the only Indians left in the draw. Bopanna-Divij Sharan were knocked out in the first round of men’s doubles while Sania and her partner Bethanie Mattek-Sands lost in the second round of women’s doubles. Sania-Bopanna had defeated another Indian pair in Ankita Raina and Ramkumar Ramanthan in the opening round.

When does WIMBLEDON 2021 start and what is the schedule?

The qualifiers of Wimbledon started on 22 June with the tournament proper beginning 28 June. The women’s singles final is scheduled to be played on July 10, with the men’s singles final to take place the following day on July 11 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
