Private school owners held a meeting in Mandsaur on Tuesday

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): A meeting of members of District Non-Government School Organisation was held at Chhatri Balaji Mandir Khanpura on Tuesday in which about 250 school owners participated and expressed their views on problems they are facing.

All the school operators discussed problems related to the schools. They demanded that state government should allow schools to reopen in districts that are corona-free. They said that except for schools, all the commercial and non-commercial activities have resumed. “Allow us to reopen schools or allow us to die,” they said.

School owners said closure of schools in last 15 months has led to mental stress and financial losses. They claimed that parents are not paying fees and state government has not granted them relief. “So, it is difficult to run household expenses,” they remarked.

School owners added if children can attend weddings, play outside, go for a picnic or a walk, there is no reason they cannot attend schools.
