BIG FEAT for Indian Railways! ‘Jaan Bhi, Jahaan Bhi’ – North Central Railway RECORDS highest ever growth in loading, collection of freight REVENUE

A milestone is achieved by the Indian Railways. North Central Railway (NCR) has recorded the highest growth ever in loading and the collection of freight revenue during the first quarter of the current financial year 2021-22. This achievement for the NCR has come in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

An ANI report stated that while briefing media persons, VK Tripathi, General Manager (GM), NCR said, “This year NCR has achieved the best ever loading done in the first quarter of any financial year. During April-June 2021-22, the originating loading has been 4.32 MT as compared to 3.24 MT in the corresponding period of last year thereby an increase of 33.3 per cent over last year.”

Tripathi further added that the originating goods earning during the April-June period for 2021-22 has been Rs 437.57 crore compared to Rs 352.33 crore last year. The increase has been of 24.19 per cent. In addition to this, there has been a significant increase in loading of containers, cement, POL and fly ash.
