Bollywood celebrities such as Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Anubhav Sinha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui are more expressed grief as legendary actor Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 on Wednesday due to age-related health issues.
Actor Shahid Kapoor took to his social media and wrote, “We are all nothing but versions of you Dilip Saab. Every actor has studied you in awe. Wondering how you did it all. You were as close to PERFECT as it can get. As you return to your spiritual home. The prayers of millions are with you. Thank you for giving us all you did. And sharing your enlightened soul with us through all your breathtaking performances. You will live on forever sir. You are TIMELESS. Rest in peace”
Actor Farhan Akhtar shared, “Sad day for the Hindi film industry and film audiences across the world. Dilip Kumar saab was truly an institution of acting. One could learn so much from watching his films and only dream of coming close to his incredible craft and delicate nuance. Thank you for the films, the performances and the memories, Yusuf saab RIP”

In 1991, Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Indian cinema. In 1994, he received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
