In-charge of Boda police station has sustained serious injuries and has been referred to Bhopal from Rajgarh

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Four police personnel including a police station incharge and three villagers received severe injuries in a clash between a police team and villagers in Rajgarh on Wednesday. The condition of the police station incharge is critical and he has been referred to Bhopal from Rajgarh.

The incident took place in village Kadiya Sansi under Boda police station area of the district.

According to police, a team led by Boda police station incharge Arjun Singh Mujalde went to the village after receiving information about sale of illicit liquor. When the police team reached village, the villagers attacked the team with sticks. They also pelted stones at them.

In response, the police team opened fire and managed to escape from there. On receiving information, additional police forces led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Pradeep Sharma rushed to the spot.

Pradeep Sharma said four police personnel including Arjun Singh Mujalde received severe injuries. “Among them, Arjun’s condition is critical and he has been referred to Bhopal. Three villagers were also injured as police fired in retaliation. They are admitted at the district hospital in Rajgarh,” Sharma told journalists. He further said that a case has been registered and efforts are on to establish the identities of accused.
