HYDERABAD: Former minister in united Andhra Pradesh and presently a
TRS MLA, Danam Nagender, and his driver were convicted by Nampally court for assaulting a person inside
Banjara Hills police station in 2013. He was directed to undergo 6 months of simple imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000.
After giving punishment, the court granted bail to the convicts by allowing them to appeal the court verdict in a month.
In 2013, when the complainant,

On knowing that his associates were taken to Banjara Hills police station, Danam reached the station despite being a state minister.
While being inside the police station, Danam’s driver C Raju attacked Subba Rao on the instigation of Danam.
"The court convicted both
Danam Nagender and Raju under section 323 of IPC and awarded them 6 months of simple imprisonment besides directing them to pay a fine of Rs 1,000," Special public prosecutor in MLA & MP Court, Narayana, told TOI. Danam is accused no 2 in this case. The complainant is a ministerial staff in the police department.
