SURAT: Surat city recorded nine new Covid-19 cases even as one person succumbed to the infection on Monday. A 63-year-old man from Althan village in Athwa zone succumbed to the virus taking the city’s death toll to 1,629. According to SMC officials, Rander and Varachha (B) zones record two cases each and Central, Varachha (A), Katargam, Limbayat and Athwa zones recorded one case each on Monday.
