The midfielder took a trademark hop at the end of his runup before rolling the ball into the bottom corner.
The match had finished 1-1 through extra time. Federico Chiesa scored for Italy with a curling shot in the 60th minute but Alvaro Morata equalised for Spain in the 80th. Morata missed the next-to-last kick in the shootout, giving Jorginho the chance to win it. Italy will be back at Wembley Stadium for the final on Sunday against either England or Denmark.

Jorginho slotted the winning penalty after Alvaro Morata's spot kick was saved. Federico Chiesa’s goal was cancelled out by Alvaro Morata, but the Juventus striker made the crucial error in the shoot-out.
Spain have failed to progress from a semi-final of a major tournament (World Cup/Euros) for the first time in their history, having previously reached the final in each of their previous five semi-final appearances.
Jorginho sends Simon to the left and rolls into the bottom right. ITALY WINS
Oh oh! Morata misses! He hits weakly towards the bottom right, easily saved by Donnarumma.
Bernardeschi hits the top-right to put Italy ahead in penalties.
Thiago whips insouciantly into the bottom left.
Bonucci sends Simon the wrong way, passing into the bottom right.
Moreno stutters but sweeps into the top right to equalise for Spain.
Belotti lashes into the bottom left. Simon goes in the right direction but fails to save it.
Olmo goes first for Spain but in going for the top left, skies it.
Locatelli takes the first penalty, SIMON SAVES. A strong hand to keep him down.
Italy and Spain will battle it out from the penalty spot to decide who will be in the final of Euro 2020. Domenico Berardi had the ball in the net only for it to be ruled offside! Nothing can seperate the sides after 120 minutes.
Bonucci had hit boot high to win the ball and just caught Morata after he brought it down so he's shown a yellow card.
Berardi is sprung clear down the left. He sticks out his leg, hooking across Simon and into the top right but the flag goes up for offside. The game has lost a bit of its momentum now, players looking tired.
Thiago Alcantara comes in for Sergio Busquets, Garcia is forced off with cramp, and on comes Torres for Spain. Italy replace Chiesa with Bernardeschi. Italy get us back underway for the second half of the extra-time.
The first half of extra time is over. No breakthrough yet in extra-time! Spain have had the majority of possesion! A nervy second half awaits! Another 15 minutes to be played.
Pedri floats a lovely cross towards Morata in the middle but Donnarumma gets there just aheadd of him to punch it away. Spain are continuing to dominate possession in the extra-time.
Substitute Totoi sticks an arm out and takes Olmo down that earns him a booking. Olmo swings the free-kick into the box and Donnarumma has to get down to push it away. It goes as far as Morata, who pulls it back across the box and it pinballs around, bouncing off both sets of players before going wide.
It stands 1-1 in the semifinal at Wembley. The 90 minutes are up and we are going to extra-time at Wembley! Alvaro Morata came on and cancelled out Federico Chiesa's opener.

GOAL! Substitute Alvaro Morata equalises for Spain in the second half of EURO 2020. Morata drops deep to get othe ball from Laporte before making a driving run through the middle of the field. He plays a one-two with Olmo to open up a pocket of space before coolly slotting his effort past Donnarumma and into the bottom left.
