Actor Hugh Jackman recently hinted that he will be back in action as the Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yes, you read that right!

Hugh Jackman, who enjoys a massive fanbase on Instagram, shared a cryptic post recently.

In one of his Instagram stories, the actor shared a fan art from Boss Logic and in another story, there was Kevin Feige with the actor giving the widest smile.

Even though this is not an official announcement or confirmation, fans started speculating about the actor's possible return, just two years after seemingly bidding goodbye to the character in the hit film 'Logan'.

Several media reports also suggested that Jackman hinted at reprising his role as the Wolverine, but in an Avengers movie.

Having played the iconic role of Wolverine for 16 long years, Jackman retired from the role back in 2017, saying it was time for him to move on.

In April it was reported that the Marvel studio bosses have almost convinced Jackman. The actor had said that the character is dead in the continuity, and he won’t reprise. The MCU heads than proposed that the Wolverine will have no connections to the old timeline.

Also, if the actor were to return as the clawed mutant, he will break his own world record for the longest career as a live-action Marvel superhero.

Reportedly, Jackman has played the Wolverine for a total of over 16 years, a record he shares with Sir Patrick Stewart, who has played Professor Charles Xavier for the exact same amount of days.
