Whatsapp sending telemetry data

Checking the logs of the DNS/Router and found that one of the domain hit made consistently.

Its dit.whatsapp.net, its an telemetry endpoint by Whatsapp/FB to collect the data. If I see the data for today, it hit 200+ calls since midnight - seems awesome on how FB/Whatsapp is collecting telemetry data.

Ah yes, 'de'identified data. Surely there is no way the data can be traced back to the individual /s

Have you tried placing this address on pihole ?

I did but I'm thinking of disabling pi hole and run wireshark to trace the packets to verify if they're sending the de-identified data only.
