Police are searching for suspect after a man was shot dead in Mount Healthy
Police are now searching for a suspect after a man was shot dead in Mount Healthy on Monday night.
Officers dispatched to the 7800 block of Clovernook Avenue about 10 p.m. for a report of a man on the ground. When they arrived, officers found a Black male, 25-30, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a press release.
Police said the man was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released his name.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will conduct the investigation at the request of the Mount Healthy police, the department said.
Officers say that the preliminary investigation indicates that the victim drove into a secluded parking area and remained in his vehicle.
He was then approached by a man, 25-30 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and gym shoes, according to police. The victim exited the vehicle and the suspect then shot him and fled on foot, police said.
