The revised curfew will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. By 9 p.m., meanwhile, all stores and business enterprises should be closed. The nighttime curfew will be implemented in the west and east godavari districts from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the measures would remain in effect until the positive rate falls below 5%. The jagan government has also chosen to reopen function halls, restaurants, gyms, and theatres that meeting the Covid standard, allowing just 50% occupancy and requiring masks in a review meeting by Jagan.

To prevent the disease from spreading further, the government is focusing on immunising all teachers, women who are pregnant, and government employees. So far, andhra pradesh has recorded 19 lakh confirmed cases with the east godavari district reporting the most instances (2,66,233), trailed by Chittor ( and West Godavari. Covid-19 fatalities were recorded by the state as 12,870.
