Mhow: A team of forest officials will inquire into the Urjavan development case in which the work is pending for the last two years even though all the construction materials were delivered at the site.

The inquiry will be done in the case under forest ranger (Manpur circle) Bheem Singh Deoda. Free Press has reported the incident after which inquiry was instituted by the SDO Rakesh Lehri.

Deoda said, “The forest sub-divisional officer Rakesh Lehri instituted an inquiry into the delay in the installation of fencing and other development work of Urjavan near the Ambachandan area”.

The forest department has reserved a plot of 10 hectares for the development of forest on the land where 30,000 saplings will be planted. But even after two years, the material brought for fencing the land was not done. As a result, the wire fence has started rusting and sacks of cement have also got damaged.

“I will submit the report to the SDO after investigating the case. Fencing wires have been recovered from villagers'homes and other materials have also gone missing,” said Deoda.

After learning of the negligence by the officials concerned of the forest department, forest SDO Rajesh Lehri said he would order an inquiry into the matter. He assured that strict action would be taken against the officials responsible for such a delay and for the negligence in the work. He will issue show-cause notices to the officials responsible after the inquiry reports come in.
