Megyn Kelly is signed up to host a weekday live talk show on SiriusXM in her first major gig since leaving Today
- The Megyn Kelly Show will broadcast for two hours, SiriusXM said on Tuesday
- Will feature her opinions on the day's top stories, listeners' calls and interviews
- Show will premiere September 7 and will be available to her podcast listeners
- Kelly's hiring comes months after SiriusXM announced huge exclusive deals with Howard Stern and Andy Cohen
Megyn Kelly will host a weekday live talk show on SiriusXM this fall, it emerged Tuesday - in her first major gig since leaving Today.
The Megyn Kelly Show will broadcast for two hours at noon and feature Kelly's viewpoints on the day's top stories, as well as listeners' calls and interviews.
The program will premiere September 7 and the deal she struck means the radio show will become available to her podcast listeners after premiering on SiriusXM.
Kelly is SiriusXM's latest high-profile signing, with the network recently hiring shock jock Howard Stern on a contract worth $500million over five years - which he greeted by announcing he was taking the whole summer off in a move that infuriated fans. Kelly's pay packet has not yet been revealed.
The station also recently signed up top talk show host Andy Cohen for an undisclosed fee.

Announcing her new role, Kelly said Tuesday: 'My team and I have been grateful to see our show, in less than a year, become one of the most successful podcasts in America - proving that there is a thirst for open, honest and more meaningful conversations about current events.
'I can't think of a better partner to help us expand that reach even further than a blue-chip brand like SiriusXM, which has always been a leader in predicting market trends and is perfectly positioned for the evolving manner in which Americans consume their news.'
She later tweeted: 'Happy to announce our show (already one of the top podcasts in the USA after 9 mos) is expanding its reach - partnering w/SiriusXM (a great team!) in a live, 2-hour show, going 5 days/wk & adding video too. Starts in September.
'Thank you to our listeners!'
Kelly was a star at Fox and helped moderate five presidential debates, then became anchor of the third hour of Today.
But her time at NBC was short-lived; Kelly was left in 2018 after defending blackface Halloween costumes.
In an interview published Tuesday, Kelly compared her time at NBC to her first marriage, insisting she doesn't have any regrets and referring to it as 'part of the journey that gets you to where you are.'
'I had this soaring career at Fox that was great by any measure, but I was miserable at home. It was too stressful, too much time away from my family and my kids, and then I overcorrected at NBC by going too soft,' Kelly told Business Insider.
'To be perfectly honest, the job wasn't intellectually stimulating for me, and now I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I'm fired up and making a difference,' she continued.

In the segment, Kelly said she did not understand what was wrong with blackface if a white person was 'playing a character.'
After a huge backlash, she began her next program by reading prepared remarks in which she apologized for her comments the previous day.
'I'm Megyn Kelly. And I want to begin with two words - I'm sorry,' said Kelly as she fought back tears.
She then rehashed her comments before stating: 'I have never been a P.C. kind of person.
'But I do understand the value in being sensitive to our history, particularly on race and ethnicity. This past year has been so painful for many people of color. The country feels so divided. And I have no wish to add to that pain and offense.
'I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor. And I want to be part of that. Thank you for listening and for helping me listen, too.'
