Kuwait’s Ministry of Health yesterday said that 1,977 people were infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19) over the past 24 hours, taking the caseload to 365,649. As many as 1,841 people cured of the disease in the same period, pushing the total recoveries up to 345,106, the ministry said in a statement reported by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The death toll from the virus climbed to 2,029 after registering 12 mortalities in the corresponding period, it stated. Over 19,500 patients are being treated at hospitals, in addition to 303 cases at the intensive care units, the statement added. (QNA)
