PUDUCHERRY: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (
Jipmer) will declare the result of the entrance examination for admission to various postdoctoral, postgraduate and other courses on or before July 10 on its website www.jipmer.edu.in.
The institute held an online entrance examination for admission to postdoctoral certificate courses (PDCC), postdoctoral fellowship (PDF), postgraduate (MSc), Master of public health (
MPH), post-basic diploma in nursing (
PBDN), postgraduate diploma (
PGD) and postgraduate fellowship (
PGF) courses on July 2.
The institute offers 19 seats in PDCC and PDF courses and 119 seats in MSc,
MPH, PBDN, PGD and PGF courses. As many as 983 candidates registered for the entrance examination that was conducted at 12 centres in 10 cities and towns. There were three centres in Puducherry.
A total of 167 candidates (63.4%) of 263 registered candidates appeared for the PDCC and PDF entrance examination and a total of 550 candidates (76.4%) of 720 registered candidates appeared for the MSc, MPH, PBDN, PGD and PGF entrance examination.
The institute established a command centre with live streaming facilities from all examination centres in view of the Covid-19 situation. It used iris scanners to capture biometric information of all the candidates and video recorded the entire entrance examination process. The institute also conceded to the requests of the candidates for change in examination centres.
