NTA JEE Main 2021 Exam Dates News Updates: The Ministry of Education has announced the exam dates for JEE Main (April and May) sessions 2021. The April session will be conducted from July 20-25, JEE Main (May) will be held from July 27-August 2.

NTA JEE Main 2021 Exam Dates Updates: Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced the exam schedule for JEE Main (April and May) sessions 2021 on Tuesday. The minister made the announcement through a live session. The April session of JEE Main 2021 will be conducted from July 20-25. The fourth and last session of JEE Main 2021 (May session) will be conducted from July 27-August 2.

The registration window has been reopened for candidates who could not apply for the exams earlier.  Candidates can apply at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Those who wish to apply for the April session will be able to apply from tonight (July 6) to July 8. JEE Main (May) session registrations will be open from July 9-12. Candidates will also be able to change their exam centres.

As per the information shared by the NTA, a total of 6.80 lakh candidates have already been registered for JEE Main April 2021. For the May session, 6.09 candidates have registered. The registration number is executed to go higher as the application windows have been reopened for both April and May sessions.

JEE Main 2021 (February): The first session of JEE Main 2021 was conducted from February 23-26. A total of 6.61 lakh (6,61,776) candidates had registered for the February session this year. A total of six students scored 100 percentile in the February session.

JEE Main 2021 (March): The second session was conducted from March 15 to 18. A total of 6.19 lakh (6,19,638) candidates had registered for the March session. In the March session, a total of 13 candidates had scored 100 percentile.

Step 2: Click on the ‘registration link’ on the homepage

Registration window for JEE May session to begin on July 9

JEE Main exam: Apply separately for two courses

If a candidate wants to apply only for two programmes in April and May session separately, he/she has to apply for both of them as per the application window dates of those sessions. For example, if a candidate wants to apply for B.E. in April Session and B.Arch. in the May session then he/she should apply separately, that is, for B.E. apply when the application window opened for the April session and apply for BArch. when the application window is opened for the May Session.

NTA allows candidates to withdraw their applications

The candidates who have applied earlier for April/May session can modify their particulars (session, category, subject, etc.) during the period from July 6 to 8 for (postponed) April Session and July 9 to 12 for (postponed) May session.

Test centres for JEE Main 2021 increased

To ensure social distancing amid the pandemic and follow the SOPs, the NTA has also increased the number of test centres for JEE Main (April and May) sessions. Earlier, the total number of test centres was 660. The test centres have now been increased to 828.

Education Minister to come live at 7 pm

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' through his Twitter handle communicated to the students that he will make an important announcement regarding JEE Main 2021. The decision regarding the remaining two sessions (April and May) of JEE Main 2021 is expected to release today.

Due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had decided to reschedule the JEE Main (April) 2021. The admit cards for the exam were to be released soon but the process was put on hold. The JEE Main (May) session was also postponed. The Ministry of Education has announced the dates for the remaining editions of engineering entrance exams JEE Main (April and May). However, there is not update on NEET-UG 2021 exam date yet.
