Mumbai: Petrol prices touch record high; check new rate here

MUMBAI: Petrol prices were hiked once again on Monday, and it currently stands at an an all-time high in Mumbai.
According to the official data, the rate of petrol was increased by 24 paise from Sunday's Rs 105.58.
A litre of petrol in Mumbai now costs Rs 105.92 -- the highest the city has ever witnessed.
Meanwhile, the rate of diesel remained unchanged and it now costs Rs 96.91 in the financial capital.
At present, fuel rates are the costliest in Mumbai in the entire country.
Monday saw the third fuel price hike of July, the first two times being on July 2 and July 4.
The ever-increasing price of fuel has been burning a hole in the pocket of Mumbaikars, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, when local trains are already out of bounds for the common public.
Locals who have to travel to their workplaces are being forced to commute via other modes of public transport or their private vehicles.
