Sharks coach Sean Everitt has named his team for Wednesday's clash against the British & Irish Lions in Johannesburg.
Everitt has made only one change to the starting XV which lost 32-31 to Western Province in a Currie Cup match in Cape Town last week.
Regular Currie Cup skipper Phepsi Buthelezi returns after missing last week's game with a mild concussion. He replaces Mpilo Gumede at No 8 and takes the captain's armband from centre Jeremy Ward.
"We have to get the fundamentals right otherwise we will be punished on the day," Everitt said ahead of the challenge against the tourists, who thumped the South African Lions 56-14 in Johannesburg at the weekend.
"The chief goal is that we go into this game well-prepared and for the players to understand what's coming their way. Not many of our players in the [Currie Cup] squad have international experience and that includes Super Rugby, so yes, this is a big challenge.
"We have only played two games in the Currie Cup, but our group has been together for some time and they’re looking forward to the challenge."
Wednesday's clash at Ellis Park is scheduled for 19:00, with South Africa's Jaco Peyper taking the whistle.
