Tata Motor is all set to launch new Dark Edition models for the Harrier, Nexon and Altroz. We have already seen spy photos of the cars, and recently, Tata Motors also put out the first teaser video featuring the Harrier. Now, the carmaker has released two new teaser videos giving us a glimpse of the Nexon Dark Edition and Altroz Dark Edition, respectively. Both models are expected to be launched alongside to updated Harrier Dark Edition and the launch could take place as early as later this week.

Now one of the previous spy photos gave us a glimpse of the Nexon EV Dark Edition as well, which means the company will introduce the Dark Edition model for both the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) model, as well as the all-electric Nexon. Like the Harrier Dark Edition, the new model will also come with a glossy black exterior paint job, dark alloy wheels, an all-black interior to go with the theme. In fact, even the model name badge is treated in matte black.

In terms of other features and creature comfort, the cars will remain identical to their regular counterparts. This will include - projector headlamps with LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and more. In terms of variants, the Harrier Dark Edition was offered as an option with the XT, XZ and the XZ+ trims and the same can be expected for the Altroz and Nexon as well. In the Nexon EV's case, we expect the Dark Edition to come with the XZ+ and XZ+ LUX variants. However, all these details will only be confirmed once the models are launched.
Tata Altroz Dark Edition
Mechanically too, the models will remain unchanged. Right now, the Nexon is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options - a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned to produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque and a 1.5-litre oil burner that makes 108 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT. The Nexon EV continues to draw power from the 95 kW electric motor that packs 127 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque. The company claims a range of 312 km (ARAI certified) on a single charge.
Mechanically, all Dark Edition models will remain unchanged
The Altroz, on the other hand, gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 85 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque, along with a 1.5-litre oil burner that produces 89 bhp and 200 Nm of max torque. The Altorz also gets an i-Turbo version that is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine tuned to make 109 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. All three engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
