TelOne revenues jump 147% in 2020

Zimbabwe State-owned TelOne said its revenue increased by 147 percent year-on-year to ZWD 4.7 billion in 2020, backed by increased demand for broadband services. TelOne also saw a 14 percent growth in subscribers while usage lifted increased by 22 percent. The firm said the record revenue growth was due in large part to demand for broadband services brought about by the pandemic. TelOne recorded an inflation-adjusted operating profit of ZWD 532 million.
