Big changes to Tasmania's border closures gives thousands the chance of a holiday - but millions are still locked out

- Those in NSW are still banned from visiting as well as people in SE Queensland
Tasmania has reopened its border to travellers from areas in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
From 2pm on Monday, Perth and other WA regions of Mandurah, Boddington, Murray, Serpentine-Jarrahdale and Waroona are no longer considered high risk.
The same applies to Darwin and Palmerstone, Litchfield and Alice Springs in the NT.
'Anyone currently in quarantine because they had been in any of these areas prior to arriving in Tasmania is able to leave quarantine,' Tasmania Public Health Director Mark Veitch said in a statement.

Several premises in WA and the NT remain high risk, meaning the travel ban stays in place for anyone who has been to those venues at certain times.
The bans had been implemented in recent weeks in response to coronavirus outbreaks which sent both Perth and Darwin into lockdown.
Tasmania remains closed to a host of local government areas in NSW, including Sydney, as well as southeast Queensland, Townsville and Magnetic Island and Palm Island.
Dr Veitch said restrictions with Queensland areas would remain in place for at least another two days.
People from high-risk regions are not allowed entry to Tasmania unless they have special permission as an essential traveller.
