MUMBAI: Pooja Bhatt, took a stroll down memory lane and shared a few pictures of her mother on her birthday. In the image, we can see Pooja’s mother Kiran Bhatt giving a doll to the former. Pooja also posted a picture of a handmade card which she made on one of the birthdays of her mother. “To my ever gorgeous Mother Lorraine Bright who then went onto become Kiran Bhatt.. Happy Birthday and thank you! There would be no me if there was no you! Not to mention your amazing capacity to preserve and archive details of my life that recede way back in the mists of time.. like this birthday note/card I made you when I was a child,” she captioned.

Pooja also shared a picture of her mother sporting bindi and mini dress. “Happy Birthday Mother! If anyone could combine a bindi & a mini so effortlessly, you could! Style can be learned or acquired. Grace cannot.” she added. 

MUMBAI: Actor Kajal Aggarwal, who will be playing the lead role in Tathagata Singha’s upcoming directorial ‘Uma’, has begun shooting for the film in Kolkata. The start-to-finish schedule of the film started in the city today. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “KAJAL AGGARWAL: ‘UMA’ SHOOT STARTS TODAY… #Uma – starring #KajalAggarwal – has commenced start-to-finish shoot in #Kolkata today… Directed by ad filmmaker Tathagata Singha… Produced by Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal [#Miraj Group].” Along with the tweet, Taran also shared an image that revealed the cast of the film. Apart from Kajal, it stars Tinnu Anand, Harsh Chhaya, Meghana Malik, Gaurav Sharma, Shriswara and Ayoshi Talukdar.

The film is a feel-good drama, set in an aristocratic household with a wedding backdrop where entire family assembles. The movie unfolds through multifaceted characters in the house with arrival of a stranger Uma.

Kajal, who started her film career back in 2004 with Bollywood, has over the years emerged as one of the most formidable names in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries. Kajal had earlier said, “Very happy to be collaborating with AVMA Media, Avishek Ghosh and director Tathagata Singha, on an extremely interesting film titled Uma.” 

MUMBAI : Actor Saif Ali Khan’s first look as ghostbuster Vibhooti from the upcoming film ‘Bhoot Police’ has been revealed. The ‘Cocktail’ star’s wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan shared his first look from the horror-comedy on social media.

Kareena took to her Instagram account to share the first look poster of Saif’s character. Sporting a leather jacket paired with a black shirt, the poster features Saif in a cool yet intriguing avatar. In the first look poster, he is seen holding a weapon that seems to help him in catching ghosts. Sharing the character poster of Saif from the film, Kareena captioned it in a quirky way.

“Don’t fear the paranormal and feel ‘Saif’ with VIBHOOTI. #BhootPolice Coming soon on @disneyplushotstarvip,” she wrote. ‘Bhoot Police’, also featuring Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Yami Gautam, is slated for a direct-to-digital release on Disney+ Hotstar.

The forthcoming horror-comedy was earlier scheduled for a theatrical release on September 10. However, the makers reportedly confirmed its digital release in June.

‘Bhoot Police’ was shot in Himachal Pradesh late last year. The upcoming film is helmed by Pawan Kripalani, who has earlier directed films like ‘Ragini MMS’, and ‘Phobia’. The film will trace the story of a group of ghost hunters and their hilarious adventures.

‘Bhoot Police’ marks the first collaboration between Saif and Arjun, who is currently dating Kareena Kapoor’s best friend and actor Malaika Arora. The upcoming film is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri. Apart from ‘Bhoot Police’, Saif will also be seen in Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’. In Om Raut’s directorial, Saif will play the role of Ravana. Saif, who last appeared in the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Tandav’, also has ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ in the pipeline.

MUMBAI: Actor Kiara Advani seems to be missing her bikini body as on Sunday, she shared on Instagram a throwback picture, where she is seen wearing a yellow bikini and captioned the post as “Dear bikini bod, please come back…”

Netizens have left a string of comments on Kiara’s throwback image, which was taken during her vacation in Maldives. “Hot stuff,” fashion designer Masaba Gupta commented.

Actor Abhilash Chaudhary who was previously seen in Ram Gopal Verma’s D Company and films like Paltan, Zoya Factor, Dabangg 3, Commando 3 now will be seen in ZEE5’s Stage of Siege: Temple Attack playing parallel negative lead which will be streaming from 9th July on Zee5.

Abhilash spoke to The Daily Guardian about the challenges on playing negative role he says,”I am playing negative parallel lead in the film. It was a challenging role because when you play a terrorist who killed or is trying to kill innocent people, there is already a challenge before you to portray in such a way that it should create an impact on audiences then that will be an actual reward. The character name is Iqbal who is very dear and main hand to Abhimanyu who is playing main negative lead and is the mastermind of this all plan. Iqbal looks silent and attentive in looks but he is very clear about what to do while leading his team with clear mindset. I have 3 different looks in the film. “

Staring Akshay Khanna, Gautam Rode Abhimanyu Singh and others, the film is based on attack at the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat in 2002 in which over 30 people lost their lives and more than 80 were injured.

NEW DELHI : A week after announcing the musical love saga titled ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’ starring Kartik Aaryan, the makers of the movie have decided to change the name of the film to avoid hurting any sentiments.

Taking cognisance of the concerns expressed by the audience against the title of the upcoming movie, director Sameer Vidwans issued a statement on his Twitter handle, saying that the makers have decided to change the name of the movie to avoid hurting any sentiments. “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey,” he tweeted.

The decision comes after the title of the movie received backlashes over social media.

Nadiadwala also spoke about the upcoming project and said, “Satyanarayan Ki Katha has been a visionary project for me. We, at Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment are excited to collaborate with Namah Pictures, national award-winning Director Sameer Vidwans and very talented Kartik Aaryan for this one.”

“This will be our first time working with Kartik and he brings a new energy to the project, altogether. We are looking forward to bringing this ultimate love story to the audience,” Nadiadwala added.
